A special thank you to Kadar and Anton Lucas

The textiles featured as images in this online exhibition include hand-drawn batik (batik tulis) and woven fabrics (tenun) selected from the local collection of Kadar and Anton Lucas.

For the original exhibition in 2016, Kadar and Anton kindly loaned the textiles for display at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Without these generous loans, the exhibition Pola: motif would not have been possible.

Kadar and Anton Lucas also funded this online version of the exhibition.  This website would not have been possible without their support.

The curator wishes to thank Kadar and Anton for backing this project from its inception, right through to installation of the exhibition for the 2016 OzAsia Festival and the creation of this website in 2018.

A very special thank you to Kadar for providing access to the textiles a number of times throughout this period, to enable the curator to select from them and have them photographed.

The curator would also like to acknowledge and thank the following people and organisations for their contributions to, and support of, the original Pola: motif exhibition as it appeared in the OzAsia Festival.
